Leather Skirts first appeared in Fall 2008 seen on Monterrey blogger ninjaintherun. She styled her black leather skirt with a black American Apparel vneck tee. Since then, Leather Skirts have grown in popularity as bloggers from Los Angeles, Denver, and London have discovered them. As of 2017 pairing fishnet tights with a leather skirt is a go to look.
