People from the world of fashion, film and music, for example: Lady Gaga, Macademian Girl, Joanna Przetakiewicz, Blair Waldorf (a character from television series), Anna Dello Russo, Miroslava Duma and many others

3. What made you start a blog ?

Many years ago my friend then adviced me to start a blog(I regret that I didn’t startat that early, because it was the best time to set up a blog) finally four years ago I’ve started blog with writing and sharing my photos. I had to express myself :)

4.What blogs and websites do you follow and why ?

I follow blogs of Macademian Girl, Shiny Syl, Maffashion, Jemerced and Ams la la land. I really enjoy them and they inspire me.

5.Would you describe yourself as a trendsetter or fashion follower ?

I do not not imitate what is fashionable at the moment, I rather choose the current trends what creates my personal style.

6.How would you describe your style ?

Unconventional

7.Does the hosiery you wear dictate the clothes,outfit you wear ?

No, usually tights are in addition to the styling.

8.What is in your hosiery drawer or closet

Lots of pantyhose! :D

9.How do you choose your hosiery ?

I choose them at an angle of specific styling.

10.Where do you shop for hosiery ?

For example: Gatta, H&M, local shops

11.What was the last item of hosiery you brought, how much you spent etc ?

Last tights (black with gold thread) I got from my mother. I do not know how much they cost, she bought them for me :).

12.Do you prefer sheer or opaque tights,stockings or hold ups,socks or knee highs,sheer toe or reinforced ?

I don’t like to wear transparent pantyhose, because they can be easily damaged I like thicker 40 den 60 den, color, openwork, in patterns.

13.Do you ever wear 10 denier tights or sheer hose if so how long do they last you ?

I wore even 8den! All the time had to check if they are ok, you have to be very careful not to incur so thin tights, they are so delicate.

14.When do you wear hosiery,daily-once a week etc ?

Currently rarely. Usually I wear pants.

15. What are your style tips for wearing tights ?

First of all, tights must match the dress, the nature of the person as well as age. In addition, colored tights, patterned require neat, slim legs, because they can make you look thicker. And the idea is to distract attention from the shortcomings of our body.

16.How do you put on tights?

To skirt, dresses, shorts.

17.Do you keep a spare pair of tights in your bag ?

When put on thin pantyhose, I always have the second pair with me

18.The best and worst things about hosiery, Love-hate ?

Patterned and colorful tights add some character to the clothing, although I know that they are inelegant. I do not like the tights that can quickly be damaged, they are so delicate:)

Do you recycle your tights if not how many pairs of tights do you throw away each month ?

I throw away tights when I realize that are already damaged. I do not count them there are so many!

What made you start posting to a fashion blog ? I don’t really know. I want to talk about fashion and beauty with everyone like I do with my friends. I like writing about that.

Would you describe yourself as a trendsetter or fashion follower ? I don’t know. I wear what i want, I need « le coup de coeur », find THE pull or suit which is perfect for me. Sometimes trendsetter, sometimes fashion follower, but always with my own style.

How do you get your inspiration for the outfits you wear ?
 Mainly I get inspiration from other lookbook members, and from music videos, especially florence and the machine, I used to get lots of inspiration from tumblr, but i deleted it :( it was hard to keep up with all these social network sites!! 

Who has had the biggest fashon influence on your outfits ?
 Kayla Hadlington! :) its probably obvious but she is a doll!

 I follow lots of bloggers as a way to say thank you for following mine, but i don't really check anyones blog out because I have no time really, when I'm online its lookbook, and replying to emails e.t.c I am a busy madam! 

Would you describe yourself as a trendsetter or fashion follower ?
 trendsetter, I have seen a lot of people always pick up things from me, or ask me where i get stuff from, and they love how i put outfits together, colour co-ordination e.t.c :) It can be a positive thing but when I was younger it used to irritate me, Especially when they don't credit me!!

 COMPLETELY OUTRAGEOUSLY BONKERS!

 Yes I would say so! I love my ballet tights from romwe.com and i love a pair of stockings on a gothic outfit! or long socks!! it always compliments your legs, bare legs never look good!! especially when it gets chilly, my legs turn the colour of corned beef!! haha

I love opaque tights, and then hold ups and stockings for a gothic look, and knee high socks if i were to wear tutus or skirts!

 No i have never worn them, not my thing :/

How does wearing tights make you feel emotionally ?

, I guess it makes me feel more girly, i hate wearing see through tights with a skirt i feel a bit insecure, but black ones or dark ones i feel more comfortable knowing that if i bent over my bottom won't be on full display! teehee

Do you physically like the feel of tights and touch ?

Yes tights feel good with a dress or a skirt to add femininity, but i do feel more secure in pants!

When do you wear hosiery,daily-once a week etc ?
 Once a week i suppose, depending if I'm going out town, if I'm staying around the house some pants are good! but yeh hosiery shows your legs off to the boys ;) 

What are your style tips for wearing tights ?
 DO NOT WEAR big knickers with tights! you need to wear a thong or you will get a nasty panty line! ugh embarrassing! 

How do you put your tights on ? 
um i just put them on ahha :S not sure if there is a perfect way of doing it, but yeh sometimes i do get holes in them from my toes thats if the material is thin! 

Do you keep a spare pair of tights in your bag ?
 nooooo never done that, don't mind getting a hole or a ladder! i just pretend its supposed to be like that! 

The best and worst things about hosiery, Love-hate ? 
hate that there expensive sometimes, love the different patterns you can get on tights!! i love how they make ladies legs look luscious! !!! 

Do you recycle your tights, if not how many pairs of tights do you throw away each month ?
 Yeah i recycle them, if they have holes in them i stick some sequins on them or jewels and keep them in my art/costume cupboard ;) i never throw any out!!

I get inspiration from reading magazines and blogs but also from thing I see on the streets.

That would be me, I wear what I like.

What made you start posting your pictures on your blog ? 

I tried blogging earlier, but I did not have enough patience to get good pictures and keep readers. After my sister started a blog in May this year I really liked to get started again too. So I did.

What blogs and websites do you follow and why ? 

I follow several blogs and websites. One I have been following for years is Daily Fashion Boost. I absolutely love the style of Sam, the girl behind this blog. Very inspiring.

Would you describe yourself as a trendsetter or fashion
follower ?

I guess I am a little bit of both. I only follow trends when I like them and always try and give it my own twist.

How would you describe your style ? 

My style is feminine and most of the time colour full. Fashion items that are remarkable for my style ar notable tights and high heels. I always wear skirts or dresses, never trousers.

Does the hosiery you wear dictate the clothes,outfit you wear ?

It depends. Most of the time I wear tights with prints. When a print is very notable I like to keep the rest a bit calmer. I always start building my outfit from one piece, sometimes I start with my hosiery, sometimes with something else.

What is in your hosiery drawer or closet ? 

Most of my tights are black with a print. I also got a few coloured pairs, red, blue and Brown. I got some ticker pairs for in winter and besides tights there are also over knees and regular Socks in my hosiery drawer. The regular Socks I wear to protect my tights from zippers in my shoes.

How do you choose your hosiery ? 

Sometimes I pick my hosiery first and then choose what other clothes to wear with it. Other times I pick a dress fist and choose what kind of hosiery to wear with it.

Where do you shop for hosiery ? 

I shop at several places for hosiery. Shops like Pieces, H&M and Primark often have nice tights. Lately I started shopping tights at Ebay. You can find really cool ones there. 

What was the last item of hosiery you brought, how much you spent etc ?

A pair of striped tights from Primark. I believe they were 3 euros.

I prefer opaque tights, stockings, knee highs and reinforced.

I believe most of my tights are 20 denier.

How does wearing tights make you feel emotionally ? 

Wearing tights makes me feel more feminine. I feel best wearing feminine outfits, it makes me more confident. When I go to the gym I have to wear trousers and they always make me a bit insecure. I feel more like myself in a dress or a skirt.

Do you prefer the feel of tights to pants? 

I prefer the feel of tights above pants. I personally think tights are a lot more comfortable.

Most of the year daily. Except for the bare legs days in summer.

I actually would not know. (What is meant by staple? English is not my First language.)

What are your style tips for wearing tights ?

Do not be afraid of notable tights with a print. Start building your outfit from a pair of tights for a change. If you keep the rest of your outfit a bit calmer, tights with a print can really be an upgrade. 

How do you put on tights?

I get the toe from my tight to the holes and then get them around my legs.

Whats the strangest place you have put on hosiery ?

That would be in a car.

No I don’t. I just make sure I do not ruin them.

The best and worst things about hosiery, Love-hate ?

Nice hosiery can really upgrade an outfit and make your legs look good. But I really hate it when a nice pair of tights gets ruined.

I do recycle my tights. The last pair I have thrown away are my ombre tights form Ebay. They were ruined so I had to. I never like throwing away nice pairs.

How do you get your inspiration for the outfits you wear ?

I'm mostly inspired in my outfits by people I see everyday such as when I'm out shopping, going to uni or just around, and by other fashion blogs. I'm not generally inspired by celebrities, although there are some whose fashion I like, for example Alexa Chung and Emma Watson.

How would you describe your style?

I always find this a difficult question! I would probably describe my style as fun and flirty, mostly girly with touches that make it a little different to everyone else. I like to have something that makes my outfit stand out just a little bit, pushes the boundaries a little bit (for example, a pair of bright colourful tights), and that I almost feel uncomfortable with, but push myself to feel comfortable in – I think this gives me more confidence to wear different things.

Does the hosiery you wear dictate the clothes,outfit you wear ?

For me it quite often does. I might decide, I want to wear my yellow tights today and centre my outfit around them. I use tights or over the knee socks not just for warmth, but as a major part of my fashion statement.

What is in your hosiery drawer or closet ? 

You do not want to see a picture! It is a mess!! I have a box just full of tights – I have black, grey, see through, brown, purple, yellow, green, sheer black, bow print, heart print, diamond print, floral, lace, fishnet and so many more, I really have far too many but I like the difference they can make to a simple outfit.

Where do you shop for hoseiry ? 

I buy a lot from Primark as I am very clumsy and rip them a lot!! So it's better for me to get cheap ones =) I also buy some from New Look, Topshop and Urban Outfitters. I generally buy black opaque tights from M&S because they're good quality and last longer.

What was the last item of hosiery you brought, how much you spent etc ?

I bought some sheer polka dot and sheer bow print tights from Primark for £2 each.

I love them all!! Generally my favourites are coloured opaque tights, or patterned tights.

How does wearing tights make you feel emotionally ? 

I like to wear colourful or patterned tights to make my outfit stand out a bit more, but I also like how feminine they feel.

What are your style tips for wearing tights?

Don't be afraid to pair different coloured or patterned tights with outfits that aren't all black, you can match them up with another colour in the outfit, or clash them, sometimes that's fun!!

Do you keep a spare pair of tights in your bag ?

No, I'm lazy!! I rip them...I just leave them on till I get home =D

As I mentioned before, I tend to ladder and rip tights a lot. This is generally around the top, so sometime I cut them to make them into socks, but not often, I'll usually just throw them away. Last pair I put in the bin was a lovely heart print pair, but they were utterly destroyed...I was sad to see them go!

Rebelangels article on how to wear coloured tights

I have been noticing more and more recently my tendency to throw on a pair of coloured or patterned tights with my outfits. I'm not sure where this has suddenly come from, but I'm just going with it and really enjoying it.

When I look back over my outfits, I notice that last year when it became tights wearing weather, I would just resort to my black opaque tights, hence why I have about a thousand pairs of these. Although I still believe that a pair of black tights can make an outfit, I also now believe that a pair of different coloured tights can possibly do this even better.

I did try experimenting with different coloured tights in my younger teenage years, probably about age 15, when I had a pair of bright (honestly fluorescent) tights, which I still have and use solely for rave parties, and some red and black striped footless tights. I think I had the wrong end of the stick here, I can see what I was trying to do, but it just wasn't working.

I think my problem with being stuck in a rut of black opaque tights stemmed from school, where if we were wearing a skirt (which I always did, I never liked trousers at school), we would have to wear tights, either tan or black, and I generally always went for the black, unless we had to look smart that day for some reason; but now I've been away from school for a year, I've started branching out and trying new things, playing around a bit with my style, and the main way in which I seem to have done this is with legwear.

I should probably get round to the "how can you wear them" part of this sometime around now. Okay, well you can pretty much wear them anyway you like. And don't just think that because your tights are bright you have to wear black everywhere else; although this can look really good, it certainly isn't a fashion rule I follow.

So if you've never worn coloured or patterned tights before, how do you start?

You can either just go for it, throw yourself in at the deep end with a pair of bright purple tights and a floral print dress (see pictures below), or you can work your way in, starting with brown or grey, or black with a simple polka dot pattern for example. There are a lot of different ranges of tights on the market at the moment, Primark for example does cheap alternative (by this I mean alternative to black) tights that you can buy for £2 or so, try them, and if you don't like them, don't worry about it!

As I said, you don't need to pair them with a totally black outfit, you can pick out a colour from your outfit and match them to that, or you don't even need to do that, you can clash them!

So here are a few of the ways I've worn coloured and patterned tights so far this winter, you can be sure to see some more looks coming up from me with different tights, so keep a look out!
